*DISCOUNTED* Please note this earring pair is slightly discounted due to the slight misalignment of the painting within the bezel. Everything else about it is perfect and I would wear it without worry (the blemish is so small probably only I can see it!)
Original works of alcohol ink art by Laura McGann are used to create these one-of-a-kind earrings. Each pair is created by selecting and cutting out a small section of a painting, fitting and setting within the bezel, and then finishing to a hard surface with high-gloss epoxy resin.
Pairs are created to "match" as closely as possible by cutting a painting section in half (one for each ear); thus each earring has its own ink movement and pattern. Set in silver plated bezel with matching ear wires, these beauties hang approximately 2 1/2" from the ear.
Paintings are made with alcohol ink on YUPO or NARA substrate. Prior to setting, each is sprayed with Kamar Varnish & UV Resistant Coating for maximum protection and longevity. After setting into the bezel, ArtResin, a non-toxic, epoxy engineered to offer the most efficient yellowing protection on the market, is hand-poured. Its advanced stabilization additives provide superior, long-term clarity.
Bezels are cast in the United States of America using imported lead-free pewter and are electroplated in the USA using imported precious metals (either copper, 24k gold, or .999 fine silver).
