Original 'Moonbow' abstract alcohol ink collage painting by Massachusetts artist, Laura McGann, 2020.
This is multi-layer alcohol ink, acrylic, and mixed media collage piece. Made from pieces of three different paintings, this mountain and moon scene came together quite unexpectantly. The moon was "not planned" but appeared with the alcohol inks as they moved, declaring the intention for the collage. Gold highlights the mountain tops under the mysterious, cloudy, moonlit sky.
The painting is 8" x 10" on Yupo substrate, mounted on a wood cradle. It is finished with a coat of epoxy Art Resin to prevent fading/yellowing and ready for hanging as-is. You may also choose to frame this piece (without glass given the resin topcoat). The recommended frame is a 'float-frame' in either black, gold, or white - click here to see some recommended frames.
Please note that the actual color of the painting may vary slightly from what is displayed on your computer monitor (often more vibrant or detailed in-person).
