Original 'The Storm or the Rainbow?' abstract painting by Massachusetts artist, Laura McGann, 2020. Materials include alcohol inks, alcohol ink collage, and acrylics.
The title for this piece came from the many interpretations of it when posted online. Some saw a woman, carrying a great burden on her back, while others saw whimsical and fun rainbows. It always amazes me what we project onto art and how healing it can be to see what we need.
The painting is 8" x10" on Yupo substrate, mounted on a wood cradle. It is finished with a coat of epoxy Art Resin to prevent fading/yellowing and ready for hanging as-is. You may also choose to frame this piece (without glass given the resin topcoat). The recommended frame is a 'float-frame' in either black, gold, or white - click here to see some recommended frames.
Please note that the actual color of the painting may vary slightly from what is displayed on your computer monitor (often more vibrant or detailed in-person).
