This is a great workshop series for those interested in learning how to work with stained glass. No prior experience necessary! During this Tuesday night three-part workshop series, you will learn the basic skills of the classic American Tiffany Copper Foil Method. This includes creating your pattern pieces, selecting glass, cutting & grinding, soldering, finishing and framing. You will leave this experience with an 8x10 glass piece of your unique creation, ready to hang!
All patterns, glass, tools and additional materials are included in the workshop fee. You will have a variety of beginner glass patterns to choose from (or you can even bring your own). We have a variety of glass to choose from in our stockpile.
Your instructor for this course is Grounded Place Artisan, Peter Grandy. With over 20 years of glass experience, Peter is a patient teacher willing to share all of his tips, technique and lessons learned over the years.
Class size is limited to 3 to allow for personalized attention. You must be 21+ to attend.
The skills you learn in this workshop series will provide needed technique to move on to more complex designs. This series is also the pre-requisite for all other Grounded Place Stained Glass Advanced Workshops (like Moravian Stars).
